Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lucrețiu Schiau started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Emanuel Tomescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Bârsan having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, FC STEAUA's Lucrețiu Schiau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Albert Bârsan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Albert Bârsan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Tomescu in the 13th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Cezar Belu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC.Bombers's supporters rose to their feet, but Cezar Belu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dumitru Atanasiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, FC.Bombers's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Schiau came free, but Albert Bârsan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Schiau in the 22nd minute of play forced FC.Bombers's goalkeeper Albert Bârsan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Schiau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC STEAUA's Dumitru Atanasiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save FC STEAUA from getting a goal against them. If Cezar Belu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When FC.Bombers's Silviu Uncu in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC STEAUA's goalie prevented a goal. If Cezar Belu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cezar Belu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dumitru Atanasiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cezar Belu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Dumitru Atanasiu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 40 played minutes FC.Bombers got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Uzuneanu. After 43 played minutes FC STEAUA got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Tomescu. Silviu Uncu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dumitru Atanasiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Emanuel Tomescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silviu Uncu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Cezar Belu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dumitru Atanasiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Nicodim Crașovan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Tomescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Albert Bârsan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC STEAUA's Augustin Nistor shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 70th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Albert Bârsan but with some difficulty. With a little luck, FC.Bombers's Albert Bârsan got control of the ball when Emanuel Tomescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Ionică Ştefănică was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC.Bombers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC STEAUA the free kick. The supporters of FC STEAUA booed when FC.Bombers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Ştefănică didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC STEAUA's zone, Silviu Uncu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dumitru Atanasiu came out of the goal and Silviu Uncu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iordache Marincean hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes FC.Bombers got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Marincean. Cezar Belu might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dumitru Atanasiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cezar Belu ran back to his position shaking his head. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
