Toader Andronache kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Scaiosi's zone, Cornel Daria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aristide Baldovinescu came out of the goal and Cornel Daria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Dragușin in the 10th minute of play forced Scaiosi's goalkeeper Aristide Baldovinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to fcrapid getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Toader Ştefănuţ hit a great ball. Aurel Dragușin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Aristide Baldovinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Cornel Daria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, fcrapid's Aurel Dragușin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aristide Baldovinescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cornel Daria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Scaiosi's Petre Gârdan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iordache Dobrescu. Iordache Dobrescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to fcrapid getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Costel Vochin hit a great ball. Scaiosi's Petre Gârdan got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Petre Gârdan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. fcrapid's Iordache Dobrescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save fcrapid from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Petre Gârdan made the kick off in the second half. Eric Hirean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordache Dobrescu having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Petre Gârdan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iordache Dobrescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Scaiosi's Eric Hirean got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. fcrapid's Iordache Dobrescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Gârdan in the 66th minute of play. Iordache Dobrescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petre Gârdan in the 73rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petre Gârdan in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iordache Dobrescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Scaiosi getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Sandu Şuţu hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Cornel Daria fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aristide Baldovinescu, passed just outside the right post. Cornel Daria might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristide Baldovinescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cornel Daria ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute Petre Gârdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iordache Dobrescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Scaiosi's goalkeeper Aristide Baldovinescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cornel Daria. Scaiosi's Aristide Baldovinescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Scaiosi from getting a goal against them. fcrapid's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
