Aristide Baldovinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eric Hirean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantin Manciulescu's late challenge caught a St3aua Ph's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantin Manciulescu helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Hirean in the 24th minute of play forced St3aua Ph's goalkeeper Aristide Robu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Hirean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Robu having to interfere. Aristide Robu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petre Gârdan in the 28th minute of the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Petre Gârdan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scaiosi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petre Gârdan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aristide Robu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Hirean in the 35th minute of play. Eric Hirean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eric Hirean came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Scaiosi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Hirean couldn't finish the play. If Eric Hirean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scaiosi's Dorel Dănășel pulled a muscle in his leg after 48 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 48 minutes into the game, Lucian Mitu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. St3aua Ph's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scaiosi the free kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 58th minute, Narcis Dănășel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eric Hirean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Aristide Robu made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Narcis Dănășel during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Scaiosi getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Narcis Dănășel hit a great ball. When Constantin Manciulescu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. After having played for 80 minutes, Ionuț Baicu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
