After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Marius Iorga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Totoiu CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Marius Iorga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Maniu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6th minute Marius Iorga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Maniu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robert Maniu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marius Iorga's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horea Zafiu in the 17th minute of play forced Vulcez CSM's goalkeeper Robert Maniu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cazimir Opaina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Fetanu in the 25th minute of the match. Marius Iorga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Maniu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marius Iorga in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robert Maniu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgil Iosub during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Totoiu CF booed when Vulcez CSM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Iosub didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 34 played minutes, Totoiu CF's Matei Calomfir shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robert Maniu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Totoiu CF reached it. Marius Iorga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Maniu having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marius Iorga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Maniu was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marius Iorga was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Totoiu CF getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Matei Calomfir hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Anton Flamaropol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 83 in the game by Marius Iorga from a close distance when the talented Robert Maniu managed to make a qualified save. Vulcez CSM's players were relieved. Marius Iorga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Vulcez CSM defense, Anton Flamaropol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Maniu. The Vulcez CSM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Maniu should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Totoiu CF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vulcez CSM throughout the match.
