Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Liviu Bugariu took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Domuță in the 3rd minute of play forced L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila's goalkeeper Adrian Todericiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Simbrias's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Bugariu came free, but Marian Lupoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Liviu Bugariu managed to get in a good position for a shot. L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila's supporters rose to their feet, but Liviu Bugariu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Lupoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute of the match, Manuel Brăiloiu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marian Lupoi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niculae Domuță in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrian Todericiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Viorel Tunaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Adrian Todericiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Liviu Bugariu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marian Lupoi. The goal made the score 1-0. Simbrias's Marian Lupoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Simbrias from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Simbrias booed when L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nichifor Liciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dumitru Muntean in the 30th minute of play forced L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila's goalkeeper Adrian Todericiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila's zone, Niculae Domuță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Todericiu came out of the goal and Niculae Domuță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrian Todericiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Niculae Domuță's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Simbrias's Viorel Tunaru got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Niculae Domuță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nichifor Liciu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. When Iustin Geoană fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simbrias's protests and gave Iustin Geoană a yellow card for diving instead. Iustin Geoană hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niculae Domuță made a kick off. After 53 minutes of play Simbrias's Iustin Geoană was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Adrian Todericiu made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Niculae Domuță sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Iordache Tadici managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simbrias's supporters rose to their feet, but Iordache Tadici was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Todericiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Pavel Dobrițoiu hit a great ball. L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila's Adrian Todericiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Muntean in the 67th minute of play. After 68 minutes, Niculae Domuță made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila's Adrian Todericiu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila's goalkeeper Adrian Todericiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niculae Domuță. After 79 minutes, Iustinian Şerbănoiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila and the Simbrias players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Iustinian Şerbănoiu hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Niculae Domuță ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrian Todericiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Iordache Tadici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Todericiu having to interfere. Marian Lupoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Bugariu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iordache Tadici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Simbrias's Dumitru Muntean got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Simbrias left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than L.T Nicolae Iorga Braila.
