FC Victoria Bordusani's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edgar Basarabescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Alin Covrig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Real Brasov booed when FC Victoria Bordusani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilie Pietreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codruț Lobonț in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alin Covrig saved FC Victoria Bordusani from getting behind. Alin Covrig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Lobonț in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Calistrat Harbuz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Victoria Bordusani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Real Brasov the free kick. After 24 played minutes FC Victoria Bordusani got a freekick which was hit by Calistrat Harbuz. After a rather tough play, FC Victoria Bordusani's Ilie Pietreanu got a free kick in the 29th minute. Codruț Lobonț sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, FC Real Brasov's Gabriel Mirciulescu got control of the ball when Ştefan Bucuță tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vlad Ardeleanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilie Pietreanu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, one of FC Victoria Bordusani:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for FC Real Brasov. Lucian Cristian stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alin Covrig. 0-1. The FC Victoria Bordusani players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Real Brasov were winning 0-1.

Alin Covrig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codruț Lobonț, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Ciprian Bognar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Victoria Bordusani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciprian Bognar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Vlad Ardeleanu fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Victoria Bordusani's protests and gave Vlad Ardeleanu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Victoria Bordusani getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vlad Ardeleanu hit a great ball. After some careless play in the FC Victoria Bordusani defense, Liviu Mitulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alin Covrig. The FC Victoria Bordusani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alin Covrig should have stopped the shot. Nistor Dumitrache charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nistor Dumitrache the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes FC Real Brasov got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Dumitrache. If Vlad Ardeleanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Mirciulescu came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Victoria Bordusani's Vlad Ardeleanu. But to his dismay, Vlad Ardeleanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Avram Achimescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Real Brasov getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Victor Doloman hit a great ball. Although FC Victoria Bordusani had been in control for most of the match, FC Real Brasov still came away with the win.
