ProStatic's Adrian Hațegan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save ProStatic from getting a goal against them. Costică Isopescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Macrea having to interfere. In the 24th minute Nicodim Oprișor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosmin Macrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisc Cojocaru hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes ProStatic got a freekick which was hit by Petru Timaru. Nicodim Oprișor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonard Mihalcea charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonard Mihalcea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nicodim Oprișor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, ProStatic's Laurențiu Popa got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A collision led to FC POLI getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Nicolae Vâlcu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Oprișor in the 56th minute of play forced FC POLI's goalkeeper Cosmin Macrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th match minute, FC POLI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisc Cojocaru to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to ProStatic getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Petru Timaru hit a great ball. If Adam Bâru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Hațegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Vâlcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the ProStatic defense, Nicolae Vâlcu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Hațegan. The ProStatic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Hațegan should have stopped the shot. When Nicolae Vâlcu came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the FC POLI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolae Vâlcu couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, FC POLI's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Oprișor came free, but Cosmin Macrea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurențiu Popa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cosmin Macrea made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Costică Isopescu sent off a good shot on target. 92 minutes into the game, Marius Cosor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC POLI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ProStatic the free kick. After 92 played minutes FC POLI got a freekick which was hit by Marius Cosor.
