Spectators: 7482 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) NightOwls's Lucian Enciulescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucian Enciulescu in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Cerghizan saved AC MILAN from getting behind. AC MILAN's Anton Cerghizan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Enciulescu in the 19th minute of play. Pavel Donici made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mircea Cristache in the 24th minute. A hard shot by Călin Barbăsură from long distance, 30 minutes into the match, got Pavel Donici's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Mircea Cristache succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 32nd playminute. A collision led to AC MILAN getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Irinel Uncu hit a great ball. Anton Cerghizan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Enciulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. NightOwls's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alin Strugure in the 42nd minute. It was a well-played corner which Sorin Răducanu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ionică Cosariu made a kick off. In the 54th minute AC MILAN were awarded a corner. Filip Godeanu went to the cornerflag to take it. Petruț Botescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anton Cerghizan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. If Ionică Cosariu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Petruț Botescu came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the NightOwls fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petruț Botescu couldn't finish the play. When Gigi Brânzaș fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC MILAN's protests and gave Gigi Brânzaș a yellow card for diving instead. Gigi Brânzaș hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihai Sticlaru in the 75th minute of play forced AC MILAN's goalkeeper Anton Cerghizan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pavel Donici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Cristache in the 88th minute of play. Mircea Cristache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for NightOwls! Filip Godeanu shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 98 minutes into the game, Irinel Uncu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC MILAN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NightOwls the free kick. Lucian Enciulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Anton Cerghizan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AC MILAN were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of NightOwls for a fine match.
