Spectators: 7486 (Terracing: 5615, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dragoş Bădescu started the match with the kick off. Ionică Cosariu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. George Amărculesei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 4 minutes, Gigi Brânzaș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC MILAN and the Ficații players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Gigi Brânzaș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ionică Cosariu to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dragoş Bădescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ficații's supporters rose to their feet, but Dragoş Bădescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Cerghizan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of AC MILAN booed when Ficații was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Pitiș didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dragoş Bădescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
