With a little luck, Gropeni CS's Andrei Bara got control of the ball when Petruț Botescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Gropeni CS's goalkeeper Andrei Bara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucian Enciulescu. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Emanuel Stoiculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gropeni CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Stoiculescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavel Donici breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Doru Gâdea struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Pavel Donici didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gropeni CS.
