Codrin Ionete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Geambașu in the 6th minute of the match. After 6 minutes, Corneliu Zdrehuş mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CF XII-H 2006 and the Mineu players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mineu booed when CF XII-H 2006 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corneliu Zdrehuş didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lázaro Odon sped through CF XII-H 2006's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Codrin Ionete. Pompiliu Biriș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Pompiliu Biriș fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. CF XII-H 2006's Codrin Ionete played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Arseni in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Geambașu in the 24th minute of play forced CF XII-H 2006's goalkeeper Codrin Ionete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Hrebenciuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Biriș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Mineu got a freekick which was hit by Augustin Bărbătescu. If Nichifor Boc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Aurel Geambașu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mineu's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Geambașu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codrin Ionete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Lázaro Odon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Codrin Ionete was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lázaro Odon to strike the kick off in the second half. Mihăiţă Aluncai hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Mugurel Ghimiș hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With a little luck, CF XII-H 2006's Codrin Ionete got control of the ball when Aurel Geambașu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nichifor Boc during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to CF XII-H 2006 getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Nichifor Boc hit a great ball. CF XII-H 2006's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Lázaro Odon scored to the left of an out of position Codrin Ionete, making the score, 0-4. If Eugen Chifan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lázaro Odon came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Mineu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lázaro Odon couldn't finish the play. Lázaro Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Codrin Ionete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mineu's Aurel Geambașu got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
