The referee ignored MK3 Club's protests and gave Sever Gheordunescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th match minute, MK3 Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Gheordunescu to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, MK3 Club's Tudor Floroiu got control of the ball when Cristi Chindriș tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Ionică Obreja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cornel Beșliu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niculae Chiliman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Virgil Gogus short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Cornel Beșliu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aurel Filip charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurel Filip the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes MK3 Club got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Filip. Tudor Floroiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Obreja in the 59th minute of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game Cristi Chindriș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MK3 Club's Tudor Floroiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, MK3 Club's Flavius Isvoreanu got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Cristi Chindriș left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Păsări Roșii fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a little luck, Păsări Roșii's Cornel Beșliu got control of the ball when Virgil Gogu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cornel Beșliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niculae Chiliman in the 89th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes MK3 Club got a freekick which was hit by Flavius Isvoreanu. If Cristi Chindriș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes MK3 Club got a freekick which was hit by Flavius Isvoreanu. Tudor Floroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Obreja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
