If Cezar Bădoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pantazi were winning 0-2.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Ştefan Isaia got free with Aron Ştiubei in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA defense, Remus Panin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aron Ştiubei. The UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aron Ştiubei should have stopped the shot. UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's Aron Ştiubei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA from getting a goal against them.
