Petre Merișor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Teodoroiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narcis Melinescu's late challenge caught a f.c. bacau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narcis Melinescu helped the player get up and apologised. Narcis Melinescu scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petre Merișor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Horia Coman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristi Teodoroiu to make the kick off. Maxim Gheorghiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Coman in the 81st minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Cristi Teodoroiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petre Merișor. f.c. bacau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristi Teodoroiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. 95 minutes into the match, f.c. bacau's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Teodoroiu came free, but Petre Merișor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiur SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
