The referee ignored Satucul's protests and gave Felix Ichimescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th match minute, Satucul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Ichimescu to maneuver through the defense. If Luca Oțeteleșanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cosmin Gogu fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Felix Ichimescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Bogoslovesti AC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Ichimescu came free, but Gigi Romoşan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogoslovesti AC's Gigi Romoşan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Ifrim in the 24th minute of play. Gigi Romoşan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Ifrim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosmin Gogu was shown his second yellow card after 28 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The audience was convinced that Felix Ichimescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigi Romoşan was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Luca Oțeteleșanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cătălin Gorun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes into the match, Bogoslovesti AC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Ichimescu came free, but Gigi Romoşan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Ichimescu was the one to do the kick off. Gigi Romoşan made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Andrei Ifrim sent off a good shot on target. 59 minutes into the match, Bogoslovesti AC's goalkeeper Gigi Romoşan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrei Ifrim. After having played for 61 minutes, Andrei Ifrim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Satucul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrei Ifrim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Satucul getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Valeriu Ciolac hit a great ball. Felix Ichimescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Romoşan having to interfere. Satucul's Andrei Ifrim got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Satucul's goalkeeper Cătălin Gorun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cătălin Gorun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Moțoc in the 84th minute of play. Bogoslovesti AC's Narcis Dăianu got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bogoslovesti AC's Luca Oțeteleșanu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Gică Zgârcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Satucul's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
