To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dorel Oardă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. FC Malina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Ripensia Timisoara the free kick. Costel Arseanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorel Oardă went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Horaţiu Brezoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 温荣建 having to interfere. After 52 played minutes FC Ripensia Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Nistor Elefterescu. Adrian Alexandrescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 温荣建. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Matei Ailincai managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ripensia Timisoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Matei Ailincai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Costel Arseanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosmin Rednic in the 67th minute of play forced FC Ripensia Timisoara's goalkeeper 温荣建 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorel Oardă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Costel Arseanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorel Oardă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Porumboiu kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, FC Ripensia Timisoara's Dorel Oardă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Costel Arseanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Costel Arseanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Oardă in the 81st minute of play. Horaţiu Brezoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 温荣建 having to interfere.
