Gelu Berevoescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Goala's Adam Petriceanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Goala from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Prundu United's zone, Iordache Bratoloveanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vintilă Ţintă came out of the goal and Iordache Bratoloveanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adam Petriceanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Bernea in the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Prundu United's goal looked a bit too open when Iordache Bratoloveanu came free, but Vintilă Ţintă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Goala's Martin Mihuleac got a free kick in the 15th minute. Iordache Bratoloveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vintilă Ţintă having to interfere. Iordache Bratoloveanu struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Vintilă Ţintă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goala. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iordache Bratoloveanu in the 23rd minute of play forced Prundu United's goalkeeper Vintilă Ţintă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Goala's goalkeeper Adam Petriceanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marian Manciu. Adam Petriceanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Bernea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vintilă Ţintă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iordache Bratoloveanu's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 40th minute, Marian Manciu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adam Petriceanu. The goal made the score 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernest Bernea to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Prundu United's goalkeeper Vintilă Ţintă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iordache Bratoloveanu got free with Vintilă Ţintă in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the game, Robert Zoreanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Prundu United the free kick. Robert Zoreanu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st match minute, Prundu United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iacob Olteanu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Prundu United getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Vali Drăucean hit a great ball. Adam Petriceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Olteanu in the 69th minute of play. In the 75th minute Mihăiţă Manu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Ţintă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Petriceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Manciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Marian Manciu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prundu United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marian Manciu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Goala's Adam Petriceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Bernea in the 92nd minute of play. Marian Manciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Adam Petriceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Goala's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Goala may have spent more time on the ball, but Prundu United were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
