The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viorel Drăghici stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felix Ciolac, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 96 minutes into the game, Albert Zbuchea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sararestii the free kick. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
