Spectators: 7537 (Terracing: 5654, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Viorel Drăghici kicked off to start the match. After 4 played minutes, Chinari CSS's Valeriu Sărăroiu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chinari CSS reached it. Chinari CSS's Panait Trişcu got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7thth minute of the game Panait Trişcu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Niculae Ispirescu came free, but Albert Otopeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Zbuchea got free with Iordache Romanescu in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 20 minutes, Viorel Drăghici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viorel Drăghici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Viitorul Iasi's zone, Niculae Ispirescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Otopeanu came out of the goal and Niculae Ispirescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Panait Trişcu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu. Albert Otopeanu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Chinari CSS's Valeriu Sărăroiu got a free kick in the 26th minute. After recieving a nice pass, F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Iustinian Casian tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Chinari CSS's Iordache Romanescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Drăghici in the 32nd minute of play. With a little luck, Chinari CSS's Iordache Romanescu got control of the ball when Vintilă Rusu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Zbuchea got a free kick in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Ispirescu in the 36th minute of play forced F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albert Otopeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Trişcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the game, Panait Trişcu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Albert Otopeanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niculae Ispirescu in the 47th minute of play forced F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niculae Ispirescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Chinari CSS's zone, Cristian Cretan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iordache Romanescu came out of the goal and Cristian Cretan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panait Trişcu. 61 minutes into the game, Cristian Cretan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chinari CSS the free kick. In the 61st minute, Cristian Cretan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Marian Blejan fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chinari CSS's protests and gave Marian Blejan a yellow card for diving instead. Marian Blejan kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Viorel Drăghici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes of play Chinari CSS's Marian Blejan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Chinari CSS's Marian Blejan got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Panait Trişcu struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Albert Otopeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chinari CSS. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Dumitrachescu in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C. Viitorul Iasi's goalkeeper Albert Otopeanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Panait Trişcu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Albert Otopeanu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 78 in the game by Panait Trişcu from a close distance when the talented Albert Otopeanu managed to make a qualified save. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Viitorul Iasi's zone, Panait Trişcu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Otopeanu came out of the goal and Panait Trişcu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Niculae Ispirescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The supporters of Chinari CSS booed when F.C. Viitorul Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Cretan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Panait Trişcu could shoot a difficult shot in the 85th minute, which Albert Otopeanu however easily saved by the left post. F.C. Viitorul Iasi's Albert Otopeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Viitorul Iasi from getting a goal against them. Călin Dumitrachescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Albert Otopeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albert Otopeanu made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Panait Trişcu sent off a good shot on target. Panait Trişcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The F.C. Viitorul Iasi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chinari CSS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
