Spectators: 7013 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Valer Suciu took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Eduard Panin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona the free kick. After 7 played minutes ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Panin. Gelu Costescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Baba in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Sandu Hosu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Nichifor Ştefănescu charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nichifor Ştefănescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nichifor Ştefănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Barcelona's Robert Ţintea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Iliescu in the 16th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Hosu came free, but Robert Ţintea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Ţintea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Suciu in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Costel Baba hit a great ball. Valer Suciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Ţintea having to interfere. If Marcel Chițu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 43 minutes on the clock, Cristi Brăescu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 43 minutes into the game, one of FC Barcelona:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. FC Barcelona:s Robert Ţintea showed great skill when he stopped Aurel Șora:s penalty. In the 48th minute Sorin Iliescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Ţintea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Costel Baba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 62 minutes into the match, ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau's Valer Suciu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Ţintea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sorin Iliescu got free with Robert Ţintea in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eliodor Anghelescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Costescu having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Radu Mușetescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Barcelona's Eliodor Anghelescu got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Ţintea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sorin Iliescu in the 83rd minute. Costel Baba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Costescu having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's Nichifor Ştefănescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gelu Costescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Costel Baba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the game, FC Barcelona's Costel Baba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gelu Costescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Robert Ţintea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sorin Iliescu went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. ⋆CB⋆FC.Rapid Nerau were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC Barcelona's much stronger midfield.
