The referee showed Isac Strugure the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cocosul getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Isac Strugure hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, FC Linistea's Augustin Cordescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sven Ambjörnsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Horia Plopeanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Cândea having to make a save. When Fabian Lucian fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Linistea's protests and gave Fabian Lucian a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cocosul booed when FC Linistea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Lucian didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Beșleaga in the 31st minute of play forced FC Linistea's goalkeeper Emanuel Cândea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 33 in the game by Augustin Cordescu from a close distance when the talented Sven Ambjörnsson managed to make a qualified save. Cocosul's players were relieved. Augustin Cordescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sven Ambjörnsson could save by the left post. 44 minutes into the match, Cocosul's goalkeeper Sven Ambjörnsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augustin Cordescu. When Augustin Cordescu came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the FC Linistea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Cordescu couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 62ndth minute of the game Augustin Cordescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cocosul's Sven Ambjörnsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 67 played minutes FC Linistea got a freekick which was hit by Costel Bodea. With his leg Emanuel Cândea managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Cocosul's Isac Strugure fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 74th minute, Isac Strugure ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Cândea was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Horia Plopeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horia Plopeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augustin Cordescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Ambjörnsson having to interfere. Fabian Lucian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven Ambjörnsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play.
