Francisc Moscu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aurelian Ştefănucă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Costică Neaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liviu Covrig's late challenge caught a APF ONESTI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Liviu Covrig helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liviu Covrig to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Brânzeu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costică Neaga having to interfere. The APF ONESTI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Costică Neaga acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Aurelian Epure. The supporters of APF ONESTI booed when Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rareș Busuioc didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Brânzeu to strike the kick off in the second half. APF ONESTI's Albert Pânzaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Covrig in the 55th minute of play.
