Horea Baniu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. FC Cluj Paladins's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 16 minutes into the game, Pompiliu Simion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DD13's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Cluj Paladins the free kick. In the 16th minute, Pompiliu Simion hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cătălin Vaida kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Alexandru Barbăsură received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Cazimir Toma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cazimir Toma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Barbăsură in the 25th minute of play. Horia Covrig came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Cluj Paladins's Călin Mironescu. But to his dismay, Călin Mironescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Răzvan Prisecaru kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Călin Mironescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Horia Covrig. That made the score 2-1 in the 45 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Horea Baniu made a kick off. After 57 minutes, Călin Mironescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Cluj Paladins and the DD13 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Cluj Paladins's Călin Mironescu got a free kick in the 57th minute. Alexandru Barbăsură charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandru Barbăsură the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FC Cluj Paladins's Cazimir Toma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save FC Cluj Paladins from getting a goal against them. After 75 played minutes FC Cluj Paladins got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Spoială. Luca Chiriac, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Călin Mironescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Cluj Paladins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Călin Mironescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to DD13 getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Răzvan Prisecaru hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Horea Baniu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Cluj Paladins's supporters rose to their feet, but Horea Baniu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horia Covrig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandru Barbăsură sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Călin Mironescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Horia Covrig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Cluj Paladins fans cheered their team off the field, for while DD13 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
