Spectators: 7179 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valer Tudose started the match with the kick off. Ionică Tomoioagă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moise Frâncu, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. In the 20thth minute of the game Moise Frâncu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CFR Cluj's Ionică Tomoioagă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute, Moise Frâncu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ionică Tomoioagă. The goal made the score 1-0. Ionică Tomoioagă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moise Frâncu in the 37th minute of the match. Eugen Stoicescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Tudose in the 41st minute of play. The supporters of CFR Cluj booed when Stegarii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Cozorici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugen Stoicescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valer Tudose in the 44th minute of the match. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for CFR Cluj. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moise Frâncu made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Stegarii's Iustinian Geambașu got a free kick in the 71st minute. Eugen Stoicescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valer Tudose's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Valer Tudose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Stoicescu having to interfere. A collision led to Stegarii getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Valer Răducanu hit a great ball.
