After 2 played minutes FC Dinamo 1948 got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Vulcan. Leontin Oprișor, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eugen Drăgoescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Florin Borogeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Dinamo 1948's Florin Borogeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Drăgoescu in the 12th minute of play. With his leg Avram Mateescu managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when FC Dinamo 1948's Vintilă Siclovan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 24th match minute, Steaua Lăschia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Griguță to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute Iosif Frântu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Mateescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steaua Lăschia's Avram Mateescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Surugiu in the 34th minute of play. Vintilă Siclovan struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Avram Mateescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dinamo 1948. In the 41st match minute, Steaua Lăschia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Drăgoescu to maneuver through the defense. Teodor Vulcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Avram Mateescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Surugiu to make the kick off. Florin Borogeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugen Drăgoescu in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, one of Steaua Lăschia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Steaua Lăschia. Leontin Oprișor shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Steaua Lăschia's goalkeeper Avram Mateescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of FC Dinamo 1948 booed when Steaua Lăschia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavius Turceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Dinamo 1948's Vintilă Siclovan got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denis Surugiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Vintilă Siclovan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Avram Mateescu came out of the goal and Denis Surugiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Vintilă Siclovan managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dinamo 1948's supporters rose to their feet, but Vintilă Siclovan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Avram Mateescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Dinamo 1948 were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
