In the 9th minute of the match Ionel Hurmuzescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Avram Ignătescu skillfully saved the ball. Vintilă Condeescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Vasile Nistor got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 27 minutes into the match, Sirna CS's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Minea came free, but Sorin Siadbei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Timofte in the 28th minute of play forced MyhTeam Lyons's goalkeeper Avram Ignătescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Avram Ignătescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantin Tănase, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, MyhTeam Lyons's Nistor Joldea got a free kick in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Cristi Timofte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sirna CS's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristi Timofte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Avram Ignătescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliodor Cucerzan kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Nistor Joldea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Valentin Minea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cristi Timofte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Avram Ignătescu was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Sorin Siadbei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vasile Nistor's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Cristi Timofte struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Avram Ignătescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sirna CS.
