An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavian Calboreanu in the 4th minute of play forced Romanian Patriots's goalkeeper Petru Musceleanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Ekström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilian Negură in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Frunzisul's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Zeciu came free, but Peter Ekström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martin Balaeț hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 19thth minute of the game Sorin Boia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Romanian Patriots's Petru Musceleanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Frunzisul's Octavian Calboreanu got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Sorin Boia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frunzisul's supporters rose to their feet, but Sorin Boia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petru Musceleanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frunzisul's Peter Ekström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Gârneț in the 32nd minute of play. Sorin Boia struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Petru Musceleanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frunzisul. In the 40th minute, Romanian Patriots's Cornel Gârneț ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Peter Ekström. Peter Ekström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Alin Zeciu made the kick off in the second half. Octavian Calboreanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peter Ekström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Buhăescu in the 54th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Frunzisul's Nechifor Brănet ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Petru Musceleanu. Petru Musceleanu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Octavian Calboreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petru Musceleanu made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Sorin Boia sent off a good shot on target. 67 minutes into the game, Octavian Calboreanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Frunzisul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Romanian Patriots the free kick. Octavian Calboreanu hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Octavian Calboreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Romanian Patriots getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Emanuel Drăgănoiu hit a great ball. Alin Zeciu took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Ekström. Peter Ekström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Octavian Calboreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Petru Musceleanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Emilian Negură made a precise shot to the right of Peter Ekström. Frunzisul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2.
