Spectators: 6618 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rdth minute of the game Sandu Itu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Joseri's Adrian Vâtcă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrian Vâtcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Itu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Mugurel Dragalina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pompiliu Rizea having to interfere. Andrei Donecea hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Marius Ieremia kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Rapido FC defense, Dorin Marioteanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pompiliu Rizea. The Rapido FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pompiliu Rizea should have stopped the shot. Petruț Măguran hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Sandu Itu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Remus Ispirescu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Joseri's Adrian Vâtcă. Adrian Vâtcă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Remus Ispirescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Joseri's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Ispirescu came free, but Adrian Vâtcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mugurel Dragalina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorin Marioteanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Pompiliu Rizea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorin Marioteanu to make the kick off. Pompiliu Rizea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugurel Dragalina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandu Itu in the 58th minute of play forced Joseri's goalkeeper Adrian Vâtcă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sandu Itu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sandu Itu fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapido FC's protests and gave Sandu Itu a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 minutes of play, Joseri's Dorin Marioteanu made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pompiliu Rizea was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Paul Borăscu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dorin Marioteanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorin Marioteanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pompiliu Rizea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorin Marioteanu ran back to his position shaking his head. If Dorin Marioteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute, Mugurel Dragalina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marius Ieremia kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Pompiliu Rizea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugurel Dragalina in the 90th minute of play. If Remus Ispirescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Joseri fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rapido FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
