With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigi Agud prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gigi Agud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Burdulea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eliodor Ponor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BOYS PASCANI's goalkeeper Gigi Agud had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliodor Ponor. Remus Miclauș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Şerb in the 38th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Liviu Cârțan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Mihail Cotoi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of METAXA's Remus Miclauș. Remus Miclauș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dorel Burdulea made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, P.S.C. BOYS PASCANI's Mihail Cotoi made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remus Miclauș was left in no man's land by his defense there! Remus Miclauș made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Mihail Cotoi sent off a good shot on target. Gigi Agud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorel Burdulea in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Mihail Cotoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mihail Cotoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remus Miclauș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mihail Cotoi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute Eliodor Ponor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Agud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marcu Şerb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of METAXA booed when P.S.C. BOYS PASCANI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codruț Țepelea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorel Burdulea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Agud having to interfere. Gigi Agud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliodor Ponor in the 83rd minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see METAXA lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
