Spectators: 7507 (Terracing: 5631, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dorel Burdulea started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Joseri got a freekick which was hit by Robert Dorineanu. METAXA's Laurențiu Braru couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Joseri. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorel Burdulea in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Vâtcă saved Joseri from getting behind. 9 minutes into the match, Joseri's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Burdulea came free, but Adrian Vâtcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 10 minutes, Sebastian Dragomir mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the METAXA and the Joseri players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute, Sebastian Dragomir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remus Miclauș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorin Marioteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute of the match, Dorel Burdulea tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adrian Vâtcă saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. METAXA's Remus Miclauș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Marioteanu in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in METAXA's zone, Dorin Marioteanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remus Miclauș came out of the goal and Dorin Marioteanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute Mugurel Dragalina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Miclauș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mugurel Dragalina in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remus Miclauș saved METAXA from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorin Marioteanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Joseri's zone, Eliodor Ponor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Vâtcă came out of the goal and Eliodor Ponor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 64th minute of the match Sebastian Dragomir completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sebastian Dragomir a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, METAXA's Sebastian Dragomir got a free kick in the 66th minute. Eliodor Ponor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Vâtcă having to interfere. If Eliodor Ponor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Joseri's goal looked a bit too open when Eliodor Ponor came free, but Adrian Vâtcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 minutes of play, Joseri's Mugurel Dragalina made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remus Miclauș was left in no man's land by his defense there!
