Daniel Purcaru might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrian Vâtcă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Purcaru ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Joseri booed when Sparta do Prague FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iulian Agusoaei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Traian Zeciu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tudor Dersidan. When Daniel Purcaru came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Sparta do Prague FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Purcaru couldn't finish the play. Adrian Vâtcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Purcaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Daniel Purcaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Traian Zeciu made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Mugurel Dragalina sent off a good shot on target. After 31 played minutes Sparta do Prague FC got a freekick which was hit by Nechifor Stolniciu. After having played with Sparta do Prague FC's defense Tudor Dersidan in the 33rd minute fired away a shot at goal just outside the top left corner. A bit more spin and it would have been a certain goal. 33 minutes into the match, Sparta do Prague FC's goalkeeper Traian Zeciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tudor Dersidan. Mugurel Dragalina charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mugurel Dragalina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Joseri's Mugurel Dragalina got a free kick in the 37th minute. Adrian Vâtcă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Purcaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 44 played minutes Sparta do Prague FC got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Zgondea. Traian Zeciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorin Marioteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorin Marioteanu made a kick off. Mihăiţă Spirache hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Daniel Purcaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sparta do Prague FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Purcaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Vâtcă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Purcaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Adrian Vâtcă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Purcaru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adrian Vâtcă having to make a save. Daniel Purcaru struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Adrian Vâtcă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sparta do Prague FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugurel Dragalina in the 72nd minute of play forced Sparta do Prague FC's goalkeeper Traian Zeciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Vâtcă made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Daniel Purcaru sent off a good shot on target. Adrian Vâtcă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Purcaru in the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Joseri's Petre Uncu got a free kick in the 81st minute. 86 minutes in the game Tudor Dersidan did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Marius Coșereanu. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
