Florin Lozovan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucian Florean went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 11 played minutes FC FCSB SA got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Tiţe. In the 11th minute, Virgil Tiţe fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Leontin Mareș moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. Leontin Mareș didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Virgil Tiţe went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Florin Lozovan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Florean in the 17th minute of play. Florin Lozovan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Groșan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florin Lozovan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Racoviceanu in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Racoviceanu in the 23rd minute of play forced FC FCSB SA's goalkeeper Florin Lozovan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Mugurel Mustățea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC FCSB SA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gologanu FC the free kick. When Dinu Stamatiu came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Gologanu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinu Stamatiu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to FC FCSB SA getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Dragoş Ciutacu hit a great ball. In the 29th minute Liviu Racoviceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florin Lozovan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgil Tiţe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Leontin Mareș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC FCSB SA's Virgil Tiţe got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC FCSB SA's Florin Lozovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Groșan in the 37th minute of play. Lucian Florean scored 1-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florin Lozovan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leontin Mareș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgil Tiţe's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Florin Lozovan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Racoviceanu in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liviu Racoviceanu to make the kick off. Florin Lozovan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Racoviceanu in the 66th minute of play. Dragoş Ciutacu kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Florin Lozovan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Racoviceanu in the 77th minute of the match. Gologanu FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dragoş Gănescu in the 79th minute. Dragoş Gănescu made a great header on Gologanu FC's corner, it was just that FC FCSB SA's Florin Lozovan managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 80 minutes, Lucian Florean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gologanu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucian Florean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Mugurel Mustățea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Traian Penciulescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Florin Lozovan. The goal made the score 1-5. In the 86th minute of the match, Lucian Florean got a very nice opportunity to score, but Florin Lozovan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 88 minutes into the match, FC FCSB SA's goalkeeper Florin Lozovan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucian Florean. 89 minutes into the match, FC FCSB SA's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Groșan came free, but Florin Lozovan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florin Lozovan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Racoviceanu in the 90th minute of play. Florin Lozovan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Racoviceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute of the match Dragoş Ciutacu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leontin Mareș showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Gologanu FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
