Aristide Cioroianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Ghionea in the 18th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Constantin Tobă notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Zidarii AFC's Andrei Şerb. Andrei Şerb was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Zidarii AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Horaţiu David hit a great ball. If Liviu Ghionea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gigi Mitulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Aristide Cioroianu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horea Aronescu during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Zidarii AFC got a freekick which was hit by Horea Aronescu. The supporters of Zidarii AFC booed when Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horea Boacă didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Liviu Ghionea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zidarii AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Liviu Ghionea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aristide Cioroianu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Moise Ciorobîtcă kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Arsene stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Craiova's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Moise Ciorobîtcă scored to the left of an out of position Aristide Cioroianu, making the score, 1-1. In the 57th minute Felix Arsene shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Şerb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrei Şerb came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Craiova's Constantin Tobă. But to his dismay, Constantin Tobă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Liviu Ghionea struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Aristide Cioroianu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zidarii AFC. After 64 minutes, Vali Balaeț mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Craiova and the Zidarii AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 played minutes Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Vali Balaeț. If Gigi Mitulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantin Hâjdău kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Zidarii AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Arsene came free, but Andrei Şerb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liviu Ghionea might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristide Cioroianu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Liviu Ghionea ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Craiova booed when Zidarii AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Crețu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Constantin Tobă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felix Arsene in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrei Şerb prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felix Arsene received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Andrei Şerb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrei Şerb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantin Tobă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th match minute, Zidarii AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantin Hâjdău to maneuver through the defense.
