An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Gliga in the 23rd minute of play forced RapidBarcelona's goalkeeper Narcis Lucan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Terzian struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Gavril Botescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RapidBarcelona. RapidBarcelona's Olimpiu Remus got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiberiu Nedelcea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Narcis Lucan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atletico Textila's Vali Dichiseanu got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Doru Ciocârlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Atletico Textila were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gavril Botescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Terzian in the 65th minute of the match. Tiberiu Nedelcea's late challenge caught a RapidBarcelona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiberiu Nedelcea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th minute, Tiberiu Nedelcea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavril Botescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Terzian in the 69th minute of the match.
