The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Cioculescu in the 9th minute of play forced Utd Galati's goalkeeper Sever Doloman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Ernest Cioculescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sever Doloman. Ernest Cioculescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Utd Galati's Sever Doloman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Utd Galati from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute of the match, Virgil Oblemenco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sever Doloman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sever Doloman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Cioculescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Liviu Mercescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Sever Doloman made a huge save. 36 minutes into the match, Utd Galati's goalkeeper Sever Doloman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mircea Huidu. 44 minutes into the game, Ernest Cioculescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FCDB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Utd Galati the free kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ernest Cioculescu made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Utd Galati got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Abraham. 52 minutes into the match, Liviu Mercescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sever Doloman. Utd Galati's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liviu Mercescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. With 56 minutes on the clock, Nicodim Abraham commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 57 played minutes Utd Galati got a freekick which was hit by Nicodim Abraham. 58 minutes into the match, Utd Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Oblemenco came free, but Sever Doloman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sever Doloman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Iustin Aldulea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute Ernest Cioculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Doloman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Utd Galati's Sever Doloman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Cioculescu in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Utd Galati's goal looked a bit too open when Mircea Huidu came free, but Sever Doloman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 89 minutes, Vlad Tănase managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCDB's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
