In the 4th match minute, S.S. Lazio Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Ghionea to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gică Mardarie got free with Octavian Manole in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristinel Berbec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioan Boroneanț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of S.S. Lazio Craiova booed when -PSC- Craguis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Frățilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, -PSC- Craguis's Octavian Manole threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vintilă Stroiescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Liviu Frățilă fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored -PSC- Craguis's protests and gave Liviu Frățilă a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, -PSC- Craguis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liviu Frățilă to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandu Lopatnicu in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristinel Berbec prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, -PSC- Craguis's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Lopatnicu came free, but Cristinel Berbec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristinel Berbec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valer Ghionea in the 41st minute of play. Cristinel Berbec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Lopatnicu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. If Sandu Lopatnicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandu Lopatnicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Cristinel Berbec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristinel Berbec was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dan Șerbulescu. After a defensive mix-up in S.S. Lazio Craiova's zone, Gică Mardarie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Manole came out of the goal and Gică Mardarie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristinel Berbec made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Sandu Lopatnicu sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of -PSC- Craguis booed when S.S. Lazio Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Novacovici didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 minutes, Vintilă Stroiescu made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. S.S. Lazio Craiova's Octavian Manole tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Vintilă Stroiescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavian Manole was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Octavian Manole took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Stroiescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. -PSC- Craguis were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
