The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Corneliu Boerescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Udurbac in the 10th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Lechințan got free with Corneliu Boerescu in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Corneliu Boerescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Lechințan in the 18th minute. Daniel Lechințan came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Corneliu Boerescu could save by the left post. With his leg Corneliu Boerescu managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when FC BAYERN MUNCHEN's Daniel Lechințan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Ionel Udurbac came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the FC BAYERN MUNCHEN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Udurbac couldn't finish the play. With his leg Corneliu Boerescu managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when FC BAYERN MUNCHEN's Daniel Lechințan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Tiberiu Hrușcă kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portaresti FC's goalkeeper Corneliu Boerescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ionel Udurbac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 35 minutes, Daniel Lechințan made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Portaresti FC's Corneliu Boerescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 40 minutes, Daniel Lechințan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC BAYERN MUNCHEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Lechințan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Cristinel Fărcășan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Portaresti FC's Corneliu Boerescu got control of the ball when Daniel Lechințan tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC BAYERN MUNCHEN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionel Udurbac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiberiu Hrușcă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Corneliu Boerescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Lechințan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC BAYERN MUNCHEN's Daniel Lechințan managed to work through Portaresti FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Daniel Lechințan dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When Ionel Udurbac came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the FC BAYERN MUNCHEN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Udurbac couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Ionel Udurbac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Ionel Udurbac managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC BAYERN MUNCHEN's supporters rose to their feet, but Ionel Udurbac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corneliu Boerescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ionel Udurbac took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Corneliu Boerescu. Corneliu Boerescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Corneliu Boerescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionel Udurbac in the 76th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Daniel Lechințan put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Corneliu Boerescu. Ionel Udurbac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corneliu Boerescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Lechințan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Portaresti FC's Corneliu Boerescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Lechințan in the 87th minute of play.
