An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Slavici in the 5th minute of play forced MIFA's goalkeeper Ove Bergstedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vasile Crăiță kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Traian Mitică took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ove Bergstedt. MIFA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 11th minute Nichifor Miclea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Hațegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Petelea's Gheorghe Vintilă got a free kick in the 14th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Traian Mitică during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Petelea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Traian Mitică to maneuver through the defense. Petelea's Cornel Hațegan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Poenaru in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, MIFA's Sorin Poenaru got a free kick in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudiu Nacu in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ove Bergstedt saved MIFA from getting behind. The supporters of MIFA booed when Petelea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Micu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nichifor Miclea let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 39th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. A collision led to MIFA getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Cezar Greculescu hit a great ball. After 43 played minutes, Petelea's Matei Bute shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ove Bergstedt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Petelea reached it. Cornel Hațegan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Poenaru in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudiu Nacu to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, MIFA's Caco Goiano got a free kick in the 51st minute. Ove Bergstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Nacu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, MIFA's Nichifor Miclea got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Cezar Greculescu charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cezar Greculescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes MIFA got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Greculescu. In the 68th minute Emanuel Gheban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Bergstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusebiu Irimia kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, MIFA's Nichifor Miclea broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 81 minutes into the game, Patrick Bamford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Cornel Hațegan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 85 minutes into the match, Petelea's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Bamford came free, but Cornel Hațegan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Nichifor Miclea managed to get in a good position for a shot. MIFA's supporters rose to their feet, but Nichifor Miclea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornel Hațegan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Petelea defense, Patrick Bamford kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cornel Hațegan. The Petelea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cornel Hațegan should have stopped the shot. MIFA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
