The Cilnicesti CS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Anton Ciocâltea charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anton Ciocâltea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC National booed when Cilnicesti CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Ciocâltea didn't get a good kick on the ball. George Stejaru made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Radu Ciompec sent off a good shot on target. George Stejaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Remus in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Cilnicesti CS's Radu Ciompec nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Stejaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebiu Păstrăv in the 28th minute of play forced Cilnicesti CS's goalkeeper Mugur Vâlcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Vlăsiu got free with George Stejaru in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute Francisc Remus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Stejaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cilnicesti CS's Francisc Remus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of George Stejaru. That made the score 3-0 after 36 minutes of play. George Stejaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Mihăileanu in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Cilnicesti CS's Rareș Mihăileanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind George Stejaru. George Stejaru yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Aurel Martinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusebiu Păstrăv was the one to do the kick off. If Maxim Bornescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute Rareș Mihăileanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Stejaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th match minute, FC National was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurel Martinescu to maneuver through the defense. George Stejaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rareș Mihăileanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. George Stejaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Vlăsiu in the 71st minute of the match. FC National's George Stejaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Vlăsiu in the 72nd minute of play. With a little luck, Cilnicesti CS's Mugur Vâlcu got control of the ball when Eusebiu Păstrăv tried to sneak it across the goal line. George Stejaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radu Ciompec in the 85th minute of the match. George Stejaru came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Cilnicesti CS's Francisc Remus. But to his dismay, Francisc Remus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. George Stejaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Remus in the 93rd minute of play. George Stejaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radu Ciompec in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, FC National's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Remus came free, but George Stejaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC National players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cilnicesti CS.
