Spectators: 7582 (Terracing: 5780, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 30) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Codrin Magherescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nistor Tâlvescu got free with Mugur Zărnescu in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 5 minutes into the game, Nistor Tâlvescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mugur Zărnescu. Nistor Tâlvescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Mircea Jușcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-1 became the score in the 14th minute when Codrin Magherescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Mugur Zărnescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Tâlvescu in the 17th minute of the match. ASU Poli Timisoara's Codrin Magherescu got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mugur Zărnescu came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Sector 3's Aron Mercea. But to his dismay, Aron Mercea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Silviu Fetanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Magherescu in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Sector 3 getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nistor Tâlvescu hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Nistor Brătescu made a precise shot to the right of Silviu Fetanu. FC Sector 3's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Dacian Moromete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Dacian Moromete fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mugur Zărnescu, passed just outside the right post. FC Sector 3 were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after ASU Poli Timisoara's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dacian Moromete took the corner. The corner led FC Sector 3's Dacian Moromete to fire away a dangerous shot which Mugur Zărnescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 47 minutes of play, ASU Poli Timisoara's Cazimir Mușat made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silviu Fetanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aron Mercea to make the kick off. FC Sector 3's Silviu Fetanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Sector 3 from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in FC Sector 3's zone, Codrin Magherescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviu Fetanu came out of the goal and Codrin Magherescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the game, Mircea Jușcă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Sector 3's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ASU Poli Timisoara the free kick. Mircea Jușcă kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Silviu Fetanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nistor Brătescu in the 62nd minute. FC Sector 3's Dacian Moromete got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Sector 3's Silviu Fetanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Magherescu in the 75th minute of play. Silviu Fetanu made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cazimir Mușat sent off a good shot on target. Nistor Tâlvescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mugur Zărnescu having to make a save. FC Sector 3's Silviu Fetanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Magherescu in the 90th minute of play. Chants of ASU Poli Timisoara echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as FC Sector 3 had held the ball for most of the match.
