Spectators: 7645 (Terracing: 5790, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 80) FC Micsunia's Viorel Dancu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Mugur Zărnescu managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when FC Micsunia's Viorel Dancu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 5thth minute of the game Gabriel Pacuraru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ASU Poli Timisoara's Mugur Zărnescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Micsunia's Dan Jupân played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codrin Magherescu in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Micsunia's Aurelian Busuioc got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 13 played minutes FC Micsunia got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Pacuraru. FC Micsunia's Dan Jupân played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Brătescu in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Cazimir Mușat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Jupân was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. David Răica lost his temper 20 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 20 minutes into the game, one of FC Micsunia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nistor Brătescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Jupân having to interfere. With a little luck, ASU Poli Timisoara's Mugur Zărnescu got control of the ball when Gabriel Pacuraru tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Micsunia's Gabriel Pacuraru got a free kick in the 28th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gabriel Pacuraru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mugur Zărnescu. That made the score 1-2 in the 30 minute of play. In the 39th minute Cazimir Mușat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Jupân saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, ASU Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Isbășoiu to maneuver through the defense. Dan Jupân showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Magherescu in the 44th minute of the match. The FC Micsunia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ASU Poli Timisoara were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Codrin Magherescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Narcis Fundătoreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Zărnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugur Zărnescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Pacuraru during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Micsunia getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gabriel Pacuraru hit a great ball. Cazimir Mușat hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Nistor Brătescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dan Jupân. FC Micsunia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nistor Brătescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. 86 minutes into the game, Cazimir Mușat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ASU Poli Timisoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Micsunia the free kick. In the 88th minute of the match, Codrin Magherescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dan Jupân saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Mușat in the 91st minute of play forced FC Micsunia's goalkeeper Dan Jupân to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
