Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cristian Jianu started the match with the kick off. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cristian Jianu sped through Vartopul's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sever Burtea. In the 8th minute, Cristian Jianu made a precise shot to the right of Sever Burtea. Vartopul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Rareș Harnagea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marius Sfârlea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristian Jianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes Vartopul got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Bârza. In the 26th minute, Cristian Jianu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Rovers 72 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in FC Rovers 72's zone, Marius Sfârlea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rareș Harnagea came out of the goal and Marius Sfârlea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, Vartopul's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Jianu came free, but Sever Burtea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute of the match, Valentin Zăgănescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rareș Harnagea was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 0-4 became the score in the 39th minute when Sever Văleanu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 43 minutes into the game, Gabriel Zăvoiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Rovers 72's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vartopul the free kick. Gabriel Zăvoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Sever Burtea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sever Văleanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

FC Rovers 72's Cristian Jianu got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Sorin Stoiciu came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Vartopul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sorin Stoiciu couldn't finish the play. A collision led to FC Rovers 72 getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mădălin Slătineanu hit a great ball. After 67 played minutes, Vartopul's Ferdinand Bârza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rareș Harnagea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vartopul reached it. Sever Burtea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Jianu in the 68th minute of play. Cristian Jianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Sever Burtea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sever Burtea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Jianu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 79 minute of play. Cristian Jianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Sever Burtea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Lupescu hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Valentin Zăgănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rareș Harnagea having to interfere. If Valentin Zăgănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Rovers 72's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
