Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Dorel Petriceanu made the kick off which started today's match. In the 8th minute Dorel Petriceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Budianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernest Budianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Tofan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Corneliu Carabulea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Budianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berbesul's Ernest Budianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Carabulea in the 17th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Florin Glăvan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berbesul and the FCSB Steaua players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Berbesul getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Florin Glăvan hit a great ball. After 20 played minutes FCSB Steaua got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Petriceanu. After 25 minutes, Răzvan Bivolaru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Berbesul and the FCSB Steaua players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihăiţă Gologan in the 26th minute of play forced Berbesul's goalkeeper Ernest Budianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berbesul's Ernest Budianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corneliu Carabulea in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorel Petriceanu in the 30th minute of play forced Berbesul's goalkeeper Ernest Budianu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Dorel Petriceanu made a precise shot to the right of Ernest Budianu. Berbesul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 35 minutes into the game, Alin Groza threw the ball into play from the sideline. Berbesul's Janusz Ikalewicz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 51 played minutes Berbesul got a freekick which was hit by Janusz Ikalewicz. If Petruț Liviu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Petruț Liviu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcu Lozovan might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cezar Joja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcu Lozovan ran back to his position shaking his head. When Aristide Vulcan came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Berbesul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristide Vulcan couldn't finish the play. Iustin Cozorici charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iustin Cozorici the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 67 minutes into the match, Petruț Liviu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cezar Joja. FCSB Steaua's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petruț Liviu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Berbesul's Ernest Budianu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Berbesul from getting a goal against them. After 79 minutes of play, FCSB Steaua's Dorel Petriceanu made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernest Budianu was left in no man's land by his defense there! 82 minutes into the match, Berbesul's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Petriceanu came free, but Ernest Budianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Dorel Petriceanu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernest Budianu. Dorel Petriceanu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Iustin Cozorici received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ernest Budianu came out and tried to block the shot, but Iustin Cozorici slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 91st minute. When the final whistle sounded FCSB Steaua left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Berbesul.
