An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Jupân in the 14th minute of play forced Rapid București 1923's goalkeeper Sabin Tutunaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cutberto Reina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Vlaicu having to interfere. Aristide Vlaicu made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Călin Buricea sent off a good shot on target. UFC Tariverde's Aristide Vlaicu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save UFC Tariverde from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Rapid București 1923's Cutberto Reina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aristide Vlaicu. That made the score 1-1 after 21 minutes of play. Sabin Tutunaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Jupân, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. With a little luck, UFC Tariverde's Aristide Vlaicu got control of the ball when Călin Buricea tried to sneak it across the goal line. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by UFC Tariverde's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Călin Buricea was slow to take the kick. During this time Rapid București 1923's players had a chance to rest. Rapid București 1923's Sabin Tutunaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Plopeanu in the 33rd minute of play. Cutberto Reina kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Vali Plopeanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UFC Tariverde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horea Bleoancă to strike the kick off in the second half. Aristide Vlaicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cutberto Reina, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, UFC Tariverde's Flavius Taşcu got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Călin Buricea sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UFC Tariverde's Aristide Vlaicu didn't even have to move. Vali Plopeanu's late challenge caught a Rapid București 1923's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vali Plopeanu helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes UFC Tariverde got a freekick which was hit by Vali Plopeanu. During the 90th minute of the match Vali Plopeanu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Vali Plopeanu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 93 minutes into the match, Cutberto Reina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aristide Vlaicu. UFC Tariverde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cutberto Reina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 97th minute, Călin Buricea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
