When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Sergiu Găină took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for David Turlea to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Fulgerul Braila getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Matei Bulgar hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes Zimnicea got a freekick which was hit by 柯翔峰. 15 minutes in the game, Ivar Olsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without David Turlea having to interfere. If Sergiu Găină had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Turlea was a little too slow when Sergiu Găină got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 2-0. The Fulgerul Braila fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Fulgerul Braila's Eusebiu Barbă looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Olsson in the 32nd minute of play forced Zimnicea's goalkeeper David Turlea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexandru Burileanu kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Chiru in the 38th minute of play forced Fulgerul Braila's goalkeeper Aristide Gliga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Turlea was a little too slow when Sergiu Găină got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Fulgerul Braila's Ivar Olsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Turlea. That made the score 5-0 after 43 minutes of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivar Olsson was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusebiu Barbă in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Turlea saved Zimnicea from getting behind. A collision led to Fulgerul Braila getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Eusebiu Barbă hit a great ball. A collision led to Zimnicea getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ştefan Cobâlcescu hit a great ball. David Turlea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivar Olsson in the 57th minute of the match. Sergiu Găină struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. David Turlea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fulgerul Braila. When Martin Chiru came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Zimnicea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Chiru couldn't finish the play. David Turlea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergiu Găină went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Ivar Olsson scored 7-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Turlea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the game, Fulgerul Braila's Bob Beins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Turlea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. David Turlea didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fulgerul Braila's Eusebiu Barbă shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 9-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After some careless play in the Fulgerul Braila defense, Martin Chiru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aristide Gliga. The Fulgerul Braila fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aristide Gliga should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Zimnicea's Costică Paulescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 9-2. When the referee ended the match the Fulgerul Braila players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
