Spectators: 6648 (Terracing: 5249, Seating: 1374, VIP seats: 25) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Florin Urseanu started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Inter Canesti defense, Codrin Coșmeanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Siclovan. The Inter Canesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Siclovan should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florin Urseanu in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Siclovan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Academy 01 booed when Inter Canesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Răducu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Inter Canesti's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Urseanu came free, but Manuel Siclovan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Academy 01's Daniel Jumancă got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, Florin Urseanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Manuel Siclovan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sever Iurea charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sever Iurea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Inter Canesti booed when Academy 01 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sever Iurea didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Liviu Lucescu during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Remus Miclea's late challenge caught a Academy 01's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remus Miclea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, one of Inter Canesti:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Inter Canesti. A collision led to Inter Canesti getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Remus Miclea hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Denis Costescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mugur Busuioceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

Filip Râznicu came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Inter Canesti's Mădălin Răducu. But to his dismay, Mădălin Răducu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Manuel Siclovan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florin Urseanu went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. The supporters of Inter Canesti booed when Academy 01 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Coșmeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inter Canesti's Filip Pora was substituted for Gigi Medeleanu. Codrin Coșmeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Manuel Siclovan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 76 played minutes Academy 01 got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Dan. After a rather tough play, Academy 01's Codrin Dan got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 79th play minutes Codrin Coșmeanu shot 1-8, a short shot which went by Manuel Siclovan and just under the crossbar into goal. With a little luck, Inter Canesti's Manuel Siclovan got control of the ball when Florin Urseanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute, Academy 01's Grigore Fărcașu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-9. Academy 01 played a much better game than Inter Canesti and deserved their victory. The Inter Canesti players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
