Raúl Gonzáles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Augustin Vâlceanu firmly grabbed it by the left post. The corner led Cipanul FC's Matei Tender to fire away a dangerous shot which Augustin Vâlceanu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. S.C. Zulmde's Augustin Vâlceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nae Costin in the 18th minute of play. Augustin Vâlceanu made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Raúl Gonzáles sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Cipanul FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Bozhil Donchev hit a great ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C. Zulmde's goalkeeper Augustin Vâlceanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vasile Arsenescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Săndoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Șerban Giosu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Vasile Arsenescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Cipanul FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Caba came free, but Vasile Arsenescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasile Arsenescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Caba in the 41st minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nae Costin made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Nae Costin made a precise shot to the right of Augustin Vâlceanu. S.C. Zulmde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nae Costin in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augustin Vâlceanu saved S.C. Zulmde from getting behind. After 57th play minutes Nae Costin shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Augustin Vâlceanu and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Cipanul FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Raúl Gonzáles hit a great ball. After 64 minutes, Damian Caba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.C. Zulmde and the Cipanul FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 71 minutes into the game, Cipanul FC's Nae Costin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augustin Vâlceanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. S.C. Zulmde's Aurel Tobă was substituted for Șerban Giosu. A collision led to S.C. Zulmde getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Iurie Săndoi hit a great ball. Augustin Vâlceanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Gonzáles, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of S.C. Zulmde's goalie and right to Valer Popete. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. S.C. Zulmde's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Augustin Vâlceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nae Costin in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.C. Zulmde's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Matei Tender was slow to take the kick. During this time Cipanul FC's players had a chance to rest. Matei Tender made a great header on Cipanul FC's corner, it was just that S.C. Zulmde's Augustin Vâlceanu managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Buzilă charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Buzilă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th match minute, Cipanul FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Buzilă to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th match minute, S.C. Zulmde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gelu Dinescu to maneuver through the defense. Raúl Gonzáles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. S.C. Zulmde's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
