Denis Cutierus short, quick shot in the 2ndth minute got Niculae Ecobici to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Niculae Ecobici made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Ghețea in the 5th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Nistor Ene got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eugen Apetroaiei was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 22 minutes into the match, Virgil Ghețea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Niculae Ecobici, 2-0. In the 24th minute, Nicolae Minulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mugur Gaiță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Cazimir Papaiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Ajax Academy got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Proca. Ajax Academy's Cazimir Papaiani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Ene in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Ajax Academy's Denis Cutieru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niculae Ecobici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Denis Cutieru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Niculae Ecobici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Cst's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Ghețea came free, but Niculae Ecobici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niculae Ecobici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugen Apetroaiei, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Virgil Ghețea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Eugen Apetroaiei made a precise shot to the right of Niculae Ecobici. Cst's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Niculae Ecobici stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgil Ghețea's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Niculae Ecobici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Cutieru, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Virgil Ghețea sped through Cst's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niculae Ecobici. After a rather tough play, Cst's Nicolae Minulescu got a free kick in the 68th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gigel Ghionescu during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cst booed when Ajax Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Ghionescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgil Ghețea in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niculae Ecobici prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Cst defense, Virgil Ghețea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niculae Ecobici. The Cst fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niculae Ecobici should have stopped the shot. 87 minutes into the match, Cst's goal looked a bit too open when Virgil Ghețea came free, but Niculae Ecobici reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cst getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Bogdan Ivăncioiu hit a great ball. Ajax Academy's Denis Cutieru got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Niculae Ecobici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Ghețea in the 92nd minute of the match.
