The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Călin Cociubei charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Călin Cociubei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. FCM GAGU GAGU:s Olov Eklund showed great skill when he stopped Aristide Brădescu:s penalty. Olov Eklund came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by A.C.Milan Iași's Aristide Brădescu. But to his dismay, Aristide Brădescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Olov Eklund had great luck who in the 10thth minute grab hold of the ball when Gelu Frântu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 23rd minute Rodrigo Benito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurel Dragomiroiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FCM GAGU GAGU were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after A.C.Milan Iași's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matei Condescu took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Matei Condescu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aurel Dragomiroiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Matei Condescu's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Aurel Dragomiroiu on his right side and into the goal. 24 minutes into the game it was 1-2. Aurel Dragomiroiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Benito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gelu Frântu in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olov Eklund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gelu Frântu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Olov Eklund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Celso Tozzi came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the FCM GAGU GAGU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Tozzi couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the game, FCM GAGU GAGU's Rodrigo Benito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurel Dragomiroiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 45 played minutes FCM GAGU GAGU got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Nordin. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

54 minutes in the game, Matei Condescu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Aurel Dragomiroiu having to interfere. After 59 played minutes A.C.Milan Iași got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Schiau. With a little luck, A.C.Milan Iași's Aurel Dragomiroiu got control of the ball when Vahit Şiraz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Horea Baican charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horea Baican the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FCM GAGU GAGU getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Horea Baican hit a great ball. Olov Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codrin Sava in the 67th minute of play. Călin Cociubei kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Aurel Dragomiroiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vahit Şiraz in the 72nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Vahit Şiraz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aurel Dragomiroiu. That made the score 1-4 in the 76 minute of play. Rodrigo Benito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurel Dragomiroiu having to make a save. If Vahit Şiraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurel Dragomiroiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horea Baican, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
