The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teddy Cotte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Oprișan in the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Şimandan in the 17th minute of play forced Grindasi's goalkeeper Silvian Anghel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Atletico Nervozel's Silvian Anghel threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Costin Purcărete, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 21 minutes into the game, Ovidiu Negara lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Silvian Anghel. Horaţiu Şimandan made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Grindasi's Valer Penescu. Atletico Nervozel's Teddy Cotte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Cordearo in the 38th minute of play. Delmiro Cordearo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teddy Cotte having to interfere. Silvian Anghel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Nuțu in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ovidiu Negara made a kick off. Silvian Anghel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidiu Negara in the 51st minute of play. After 53 minutes of play, Atletico Nervozel's Grigore Onete made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvian Anghel was left in no man's land by his defense there! 57 minutes into the match, Grindasi's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Purcărete came free, but Silvian Anghel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidiu Negara hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Grindasi's Delmiro Cordearo in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atletico Nervozel's goalie prevented a goal. In the 65th minute, Ovidiu Negara made a precise shot to the right of Silvian Anghel. Grindasi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 70th minute Ovidiu Negara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvian Anghel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 72 minutes on the clock, Nicodim Cănănău commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Silvian Anghel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigore Onete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th match minute, Atletico Nervozel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Nuțu to maneuver through the defense. Grigore Onete struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Silvian Anghel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Nervozel. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mugurel Inculeț got free with Teddy Cotte in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teddy Cotte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Cordearo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Ovidiu Negara's late challenge caught a Grindasi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ovidiu Negara helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atletico Nervozel! The referee gave Grindasi a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marin Romoşan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atletico Nervozel's Teddy Cotte. 3-2. Grindasi were furious when Petru Crăciunaș was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 92 played minutes Grindasi got a freekick which was hit by Petru Crăciunaș. Silvian Anghel came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Nervozel's Filip Nuțu. But to his dismay, Filip Nuțu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Costin Purcărete hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Grindasi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
